OHCRN.org Security Information

Understand how your content is protected

OHCRN.org has taken steps to ensure that posted material is protected:

Public/Private access:

The website has a login feature which will give access to “private” material (presentations, documents, pdf, etc.). User accounts can be request by anyone, but are only granted once the request has been processed and approved by Leslie Eckel. When you submit material to Leslie for posting to OHCRN.org, you can specify if you want the material available publicly or privately.

Download tracking:

OHCRN.org tracks each download of any material type and records system information about the downloader. If the material is “private”, then all downloads of it are tied to specific user accounts (names, email addresses).

View-Only Powerpoint presentations:

All submitted Powerpoint presentations are converted into a more secure web-friendly version before being submitted. This web-friendly version of the presentations is not downloadable and are considered “view-only”. This applies to all presentations, public or private.
